Your Career Calling - How the group helped me in my job search

My name is Virginia Wilson, and I gladly share with everyone the experience I had with a wonderful ministry called "Your Career Calling".  I was laid off in October 2009, after working for thirteen years for the same company.  This was not my first experience with a job search, but I quickly learned that the "rules" for a job search were quite different than more than a decade ago.  In searching the Internet, I came across this group, and thought that a Christian based job search approach would be very helpful.  I quickly became a part of the group with new friends who were facing the same ordeal, but still willing to help me out in my search.  James Moore, the group's leader, also brought to each meeting a very practical approach to job searches, as well as a genuine desire to see each of us succeed.  Each meeting had different topics, such as the most effective ways to search for a job, networking skills, resume writing, and using LinkedIn.  My confidence grew with the practical learning and motivation from "Your Career Calling", and I know that they had the greatest impact in helping me secure a job just three months later.

I thank James and all the members of "Your Career Calling" for their assistance in my job search and highly recommend the group to anyone who is seeking employment or wanting to make a career change.
